Our Chairman, Mr. M. P.Purushothaman is basically a hotelier who is closely associated with many hospitality organizations. He is the past President of the Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India and President of Tamilnadu Hotel Owners Association. His rich experience contributes to a strong link between the Institution and hospitality industry which enhances the employability and many career opportunities for our students. His vision is to develop the Institute as one of the best training Institutes in hospitality sector in India, producing professionals to meet and exceed the expectations of the ever growing Hospitality industry in India and abroad.

The Empee Group, a well – established South Indian corporate with revenues of over Rs. 20 Billion was founded by Mr M.P. Purushothaman in the early 1970s. He started his career in 1960’s as an hotelier and opened a chain of restaurants/hotels with the name of Gauri Shankar, New Victoria and Grand Orient. He founded The Empee Group in 1970. Mr. M. P. Purushothaman serves as Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Empee Sugars and Chemicals Limited. Mr. Purushothaman founded Empee Breweries Limited in 1985 and serves as its Chairman. He serves as a Director of EDL Properties Private Limited, and Empee Sugars and Chemicals Ltd. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Empee Distilleries Limited since September 15, 1983.
